Anti-Spam Policy
Contact forms are a favourite tool for abusing other people's mail servers: enter a stranger's address, and the website mails them. We build our service to make that impossible, and we treat any unsolicited mail from our systems as a fault to be fixed.
What we guarantee
- Each form submission triggers one acknowledgement at most, and only after it has passed bot and abuse checks.
- Acknowledgements contain the visitor's own text and the company's contact details, nothing promotional.
- Addresses from contact forms are not stored for any purpose beyond answering the enquiry.
- Website owners agree not to send newsletters or offers through our system.
What we consider misuse
- Entering third-party addresses into forms to send them mail.
- Adding advertising to acknowledgements.
- Using form submissions as a source for mailing lists.
- Automated mass submissions intended to flood inboxes.
When something goes wrong
- We confirm your report and identify the website and form from the message headers.
- The form's acknowledgements are suspended while we check what happened.
- If the website owner was at fault, our service ends; if the form was abused, we tighten its filters.
- Your address is excluded from all acknowledgements on request, and blocklist operators get the facts they ask for.
Got an acknowledgement you did not ask for?
Then someone probably typed your address into a form. Forward the message with full headers to the address below and we will block your address from all forms we handle.
